Danny originally just one bouncer on the payroll of Shondor Birns (Christopher Walken), but later he was not satisfied and tried to regroup themselves. Slowly but surely Danny Greene began to have its own power and this makes Shondor upset. Many times Shondor send a hit man to kill Danny Greene, but none were successful.
Danny Greene was later known as The Irishman, who could not be killed. Eventually the struggle Danny Greene was not in vain as well as steps are the beginning of the destruction of mafia power throughout the continental United States. People know him as a man that can not be killed by the mafia.
